Fast Show 2018 Report

The Autoglym Show & Shine Competition showcased a vibrant and varied congregation of immaculate cars with some very impressive modifications. It was a tough decision process for the judges with some very high-spec vehicles on display. Congratulations to the overall winners who were as follows:

BEST ENGINE
Ross Bradley: Purple BMW E30 – Chevy V8 Twin turbo engine

BEST MOD
Leanne Durose: Pink Subaru Impreza WRX – Insane audio install, stunning bodywork.

BEST INTERIOR
Darren Bates & Ann Gardner: Baby Blue Mk2 VW Golf – Custom interior & one-off wheels with VR6 Supercharger.

BEST EXTERIOR
Adam Robinson: Mazda RX7 - Red Bull Camouflage

JUDGES CHOICE
Andy Boyle: White Honda Civic – Engine bay: smoothed and tucked with engine from 2003 Integra.

SHOW STOPPER
Richard Lines – Sparkle white Seat Leon – Stunning! Full Vibe Black Death audio install, complete one off paintwork, full red leather interior & black Alcantara, 19” candy red centres, smoothed exterior.

There was some great racing in the FWD Drag Series with the final seeing Dan's 10.095 beating Kiel's 10.159.

Throughout the 4 classes of the RWYB competition, we ended up with positions being clinched by hundredths of a second. The results were as follows:

If you blinked, you may just have missed it – Martin Hill piloting FireForce 5 certainly pulled out all the stops with his mind-blowing Jet Dragster performance, hurtling down the track at a jaw-dropping 5.06 @ 308mph – a new PB!!!

Fighting off some tough opponents and putting those driving skills of speed and precision to the ultimate test, Dmitrij Sribnyj in his stunning Subaru Impreza was the Winner of the first Handling Competition 2018; for a very impressive sixth year running!
